Spreading Seeds is where PASSION and PURPOSE come together.
Spreading Seeds is a non-profit organization created to fill the gaps in care for low-income families, Veterans, individuals in substance abuse treatment along with their families, recovering addicts along with their families, and those facing a life hardship.
Spreading Seeds provides food through cooperation with the NC Food Bank. In addition, we can provide household items, small appliances, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, furniture through our Clothing and Household Banks, and incentives to stay in substance abuse treatment. Other services we offer are guidance counseling, empowerment classes, case management, fitness, nutrition, and community connection resources.

Our MISSION is to empower low-income individuals and families, Veterans, those in substance abuse treatment, and recovering addicts by providing food security, life-skills training, and community resources to improve their quality of life.
Our VISION is where people live with dignity, families are strengthened, and individual potential is realized.
HISTORY
2014
In January of 2014, we opened to fill the gaps in humanitarian care because we realized too many people were going without the necessities of life. We are here to serve our low-income families, Veterans, individuals recovering from addiction, and individuals struggling with hardships.
2015
We developed a partnership with Stepping Stones Community Resources to begin servicing addicts in the recovery process.
In cooperation with Wilson Community College, we added GED Classes that offer personal engagement on a variety of GED topics including Math, Science, and Reading.
2016
We expanded our space to accommodate new services to our community. The new services include a Furniture Bank and a Household Bank to complement our existing Clothing Bank and Food Bank.
