SPREADING SEEDS, INC. RECEIVES WALMART COMMUNITY GRANT FOR $2,500
Wilson, NC. (March 26, 2018) – Spreading Seeds is pleased to announce it has received a $2,500 Community Grant from the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Ward Blvd in Wilson. These funds will support the Food Bank Program.
Every day we receive calls for assistance with food, clothing, household items, and furniture from low-income families, Veterans and recovering addicts. The Walmart Community Grant has enabled us to achieve our goal of providing supplemental and emergency food assistance throughout the year.
Our mission at Spreading Seeds is to empower low-income individuals and families by providing food and community resources to improve their quality of life. Our vision is where people live with dignity, families are strengthened, and individual potential is realized.
“As a Neighborhood Market our goal is to be a part of our community and help in every way we can from giving our customers great prices and quick checkout to Grants to help non-profit organizations in the community help those in need” says Store Manager Andrew Blodgett at the Walmart Neighborhood Market.
“The Walmart Community Grant allows us to help families who are in a desperate situation when it comes to securing food for themselves and their children.”, says Spreading Seeds Director Tonia Miller. “Since receiving the grant we have not had to turn anyone away who needed food. It’s truly amazing how much of a positive impact this grant has afforded our community and the outreach growth of our organization.”
