SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD

While Spreading Seeds receives a food truck from the Eastern North Carolina Food Bank on the first Thursday of every month it does not last for longer than 3 days.

For the following 3 weeks of the month, we rely on food donations and we supplement each week with a trip to the Food Bank to purchase more.

With over 150 people and/or families, we help each week, it becomes a costly endeavor to keep up with the needed food for sustaining the lives of the people we serve.

For every $50 donated we are able to provide 30 meals!

 

With your help, we can keep providing to those who need it the most!

What will your donation provide?

Your generous donation will provide families with the food and household necessities needed each and every day.

Food  and other items that will be purchased are:

  • Canned Vegetables and Fruit
  • Canned Beans and Soups
  • Canned Meat
  • Cereal
  • Whole Grain Pasta and Rice
  • Boxed Dinners and Boxed Goods
  • Baby Food and Formula
  • Peanut Butter and Jelly
  • Bread
  • Granola Bars
  • Mac & Cheese Cups
  • Juice Boxes
  • Nutritional Shakes (such as Ensure)
  • Paper Products (such as toilet paper)
  • Household Items (such as cleaners)
  • Hygiene Items (such as toothpaste)
  • Infant Needs (such as diapers & wipes)
